P&C Pricing Actuary. Under the Regional Head of Actuarial
& Personal Lines P&C supervision the Senior Actuary will:
-Participate and potentially lead the deployment of UW Strategic projects in relation to Personal Lines UW with a high focus on Motor (Pricing Strategy, Monitoring, Tools, Methods etc….)
-Be a technical reference in Actuarial and Personal Lines UW
-Provide coaching and guidance, giving feedback to build understanding and sharing information and knowledge around the region
-Support in monitoring and follow up of the business in order to react at any deviation versus budget..
-Check adequacy of local Actuarial and Personal Lines skills and help to reach an adequate level by implementation of regular training activities such as seminars, workshops etc…
-Help to cascade Group initiatives when relevant in a way which fits Regional priorities and individual entities specificities and local plans.
PERSONAL LINES RESPONSIBILITIES
-Project Management of main P&C projects and activities assigned to Personal Lines team.
-Participate if needed in review of Personal Lines portfolios together with the entire Regional P&C team, other Regional experts and Group departments support if necessary, and recommend follow-up action
-Monitor Personal Lines figures and highlight possible deviations and support entities in implementation of adjustments measures decided.
-Participate in the deployment of Group initiatives (Telematics, @Digital, CMA, …)
GOVERNANCE & MONITORING
-Help to ensure adequacy of pricing tools and methods and implement adequate monitoring and follow-up reporting.
-Monitor and manage P&C Retail figures focusing in specific entites.
-Analyse main Kpis's and technical ratios for specific entities and set them into relation with underwriting and distribution figures.
-Diagnosing and resolving problem through application appropriate actuarial techniques in pricing
-Manage and participate in Regional P&C pricing projects
-Develop specific actuarial skills (Pricing, CMA, Elasticity of the demand, optimization, …)
-Participate in regular actuarial training activities such as seminars, workshops in order to enhancement pricing capabilities within the region.
-Disseminate the know-how in the different actuarial topics though the Regions
-Develop innovation and R&D
-Collaborate in the Regional actuarial pricing family by:
-Disseminate information to the Regional Actuarial family
-Help to organise and animate potential workshops
-Participate in Group meetings related to the Actuarial familyTEAM PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT
-Lead, motivate and develop peers and potentially team members reporting to thim.
-Ensure the team is properly and adequately skilled to meet the business requirements with an effective training and development plan if needed

-Educated to University degree level
-More than 3 years experience in the Insurance industry and a strong knowledge in Motor.
-Experience in international projects
-Excellent English skills
-Strong knowledge concerning IT soft application (Excel, PowerPoint, IT HR information system)
-Strong knowledge concerning pricing tools (SAS, EMBlem, Pretium, Earnix)
-Project Management skills
-Knowledge of operative processes in the insurance industry
-Excellent knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques (Pure Premium models, CMA, Price Optimization, Elasticity of demand,….)
-Good knowledge of performance management and talent management
-Sense of organization
-Open minded to an international environment
-Ability to fix priorities and to make synthesis
